The nest is empty, but my calling is full.
God is repositioning me. Aging doesn’t scare me. Staying the same and not evolving does. Life doesn’t slow down in your late 40s and early 50s, the assignment is just upgraded.
💫New chapter.
💫New goals.
💫New favor.
🙏🏽 Same purpose.

First day of freshman year! Our baby is entering a new chapter full of growth and endless possibilities. From watching you take your first steps to now watching you walk onto campus, it’s all God’s grace. We’re beyond proud of you, son. 💙📚
Your dad and I have been with you every first day of school since kinder, walking you in and taking pictures. It became our tradition🥲 Praying for wisdom, favor, and strength over this new season. You’ve got this, son🙏🏽 I love you🫶🏽🤞🏽♥️🥰👑

As mothers in leadership, we embrace the harmony of purpose and parenting. We create space for both, building impact and raising a legacy while being present for our children.

The freedom to work from anywhere has been a game-changer for me. It allows me to lead meetings from hotel lobbies, send emails in between games, and continue to advance my career/business without missing important moments. Motherhood, career, business, and leadership can not only coexist but also thrive together.

Recently, my son, his father, and I experienced a demanding 12-hour schedule filled with discussions during Freshman Orientation. This experience emphasizes the unique challenges and opportunities that come with balancing leadership and parenting.

Fastest-growing entrepreneurs: From 2019 to 2024, Black women owned businesses grew by 51.2%, outpacing the 17.2% growth of all women–owned businesses.

Most educated demographic: Black women earn a higher percentage of degrees than any other group by race and gender 64.1% of bachelor’s, 71.5% of master’s, and 65.9% of doctoral degrees awarded to Black students go to women.

These aren’t just stats. They’re proof of the brilliance, drive, and impact of Black women.
