Let’s meet our client of the week this week: Lauren! Lauren came to Tallgrass with a few goals and she has been crushing them ever since. Lauren wanted to feel better physically and mentally. With the help of Tallgrass, she continues to gain more strength and endurance. Her favorite exercise to work on these goals is the goblet squat (always a classic!). Lauren’s confidence and mental health have improved quite a bit since working out at Tallgrass as well. 💛 Lauren loves that Tallgrass is a quiet environment with friendly people, and her personal trainer, Scott, holds her accountable and is a great cheerleader! Lauren’s favorite Tallgrass plant is the bunny ear cactus in the cat planter because “cacti are like cats: they are prickly on the outside and soft on the inside.” -Lauren. 😆 Thanks for spending your time with us, Lauren! 🤍💪

Happy Friday! We hope your 2026 is off to a great start! We wanted to share with you our updated class schedule for this year with one change. We’re taking a break from Vinyasa Flow on Fridays, but we still have our Sunday class at 11:30!

If you haven’t had a chance to try a class before, now is a great time to jump in! Classes are open to anyone in the community and are only $10!! Space is limited, so be sure to sign up by clicking the link in our bio or by calling us at (785) 917-8344 to reserve your spot!

Mondays at 5:00pm and Thursdays at 11:00am: Chair Yoga with Marta!
Join Marta for this peaceful yet strengthening class that’s appropriate for anyone at any level. If typical yoga classes don’t work for you but you would like to work on your balance, core, strength, and flexibility, chair yoga is a great, accessible class that will give you a fantastic workout with modified versions of traditional yoga poses and a relaxing savasana. You can do the entire class from a chair (or even a wheelchair!) or use the chair for balance if you’d like to try out some standing poses. Chair space is limited, so signing up in advance is a must! What a year we’ve had with you! Thank you so much for all of the ways you’ve shown up for us and, most importantly, yourselves this year. We are so grateful for our community! As we wind down the year, we wanted to share our holiday hours for the rest of 2025. Note: we WILL be having yoga on Friday the 26th if you need a little post-holiday stretch! We hope you have a wonderful holiday with your loved ones and we look forward to seeing you in 2026!

We’re excited to tell you about this week’s client of the week: Carl! Carl came to Tallgrass when he had some knee pain and his doctor said he could either do physical therapy and/or personal training to help. After talking with his daughter, Carl decided to reach out to us at Tallgrass! Since starting personal training at Tallgrass, Carl has been able to stop icing his knees! He sees the results from his hard work and dedication, and how personal training is helping him with daily activities. He enjoys being more active and loves working with his trainer, Marianne, on functional movements to move his body in a more optimal way. Carl’s favorite thing about Tallgrass is the responsiveness and care the trainers show their clients. When asked what his favorite exercise was, he couldn’t choose! Carl appreciates how Tallgrass is always positive and there are a broad range of ages that walk through the door to improve themselves. He enjoys building the relationships with the staff and other clients. Respect and commitment are values that Carl holds in high regard, and he says Tallgrass has both! Thank you for choosing us Carl! You’re amazing! 🤍

Here are our hours for next week’s holiday schedule! We’ll be closed on Thanksgiving Day (11/27) and open by appointment only on Wednesday (11/26) and Friday (11/28). Interval Training on Wednesday (11/26) is still on! Yoga is canceled on Friday (11/28) and we will just have our 9:00 Interval Training class on Saturday (11/29) and the 10:00 is canceled. Congratulations to our client of the week, Leann! Leann has been training with us since February 2023! When she joined us her goals were to build strength, improve her posture, and work on her general health & wellness. She’s proud to say that she has made huge progress towards each of these goals and has also noticed she’s feeling so much more confident too! 🏆
Leann has a lot of great things to say about Tallgrass: she loves the personal attention and individualized workout programming she gets from her trainer Shannon, she says the staff are all warm and friendly, and she has loved all of our group classes that she’s tried. Leann says that Tallgrass is the perfect place for folks who want to escape the chaos of a big box gym and join a community that’s calm and positive! 💗
As a huge plant lover, choosing her favorite Tallgrass plant was tough, but she went with the big bunny ear cactus (as seen in her photo!). 🌵 Her favorite exercise is any type of squat and she is also getting really strong with deadlifts now that she’s truly mastered her hip hinge. Leann, you’re the best and we love having you at Tallgrass! 🙌
