Cub Scout Pack 3370 - Lawrence, KS

The scouts of Cub Scout Pack 3370 love being helpful and kind, and that includes helping to feed those in need in our community through Scouting for Food. All of our dens canvassed the Deerfield neighborhood over this past week, hanging fliers on doors with information about Scouting for Food. Then yesterday they collected 1309 items in 163 bags from doorsteps throughout the neighborhood and delivered it all to food banks throughout the city.

Cub Scout Pack 3370 enjoyed beautiful weather this evening for our annual Bike Rodeo! Big thanks to Sunflower Outdoor & Bike Shop and the Lawrence Kansas Police Department Bike Patrol for joining us to help our scouts learn about bike safety and maintenance. Our scouts also played games to learn hand signals and navigated an obstacle course.

On March 5, the Cub Scout Pack 3370 Lion and Wolf Dens visited the University of Kansas Information Technology Media Production studio to work on their Everyday Tech and Computing Wolves adventures. The scouts learned about the parts of computers, electronics recycling and how computers can be used to tell audio-visual stories. They had a lot of fun with the green screen in the studio!

Cub Scout Pack 3370's speediest racers competed in the Iron Horse District, HOAC, BSA District Pinewood Derby today! Our own Ella Stubbs took 2nd in the Wolves. All of our scouts demonstrated great sportsmanship, cheering on each other and all the racers!

Cub Adventure Days, May 26-28 @ the Douglas County Fairgrounds, 8:30am - 3:30pm

Mad Science Cub Adventure Days takes scouts through 3 days of hands-on, engaging science exploration. Activities will include science experiments, edible science, games and active puzzle solving fun. Cubs will also have the opportunity to earn their target sports adventures.

Cub Adventure Days is open to Tigers (with adult partner) through AOLs. Registration information coming soon.

Cub Scout Pack 3370 went on an Out of This World Overnighter at the Cosmosphere this weekend!
Our jam-packed adventure included building space bases and robotic sample return systems, explosive rocket science, Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream, being spun around in a contraption that may induce motion sickness just to watch, reliving the Apollo 11 Moon Landing in the Carey Digital Dome Theater, seeing Jupiter through a telescope they built, seeing the real Apollo 13 Odyssey Command Module, exploring Worlds Beyond Earth that recent probes have explored, prepared for the upcoming Artemis II Mission, and SO MUCH MORE!

Cub Scout Packs across the District have been holding their annual Pinewood Derbies. Cubs who place in the top 6 for their Pack this year, are invited to participate in the District Pinewood Derby on Saturday, February 28th from 11am-1pm @ Kaw Prairie Community Church in Lenexa.

Cub Scout and Scouts BSA Breakout sessions

ALL Parents and Leaders are welcome and encouraged to attend. Come meet new scouters, share ideas and collaborate on upcoming events. Attendees are asked to please bring canned soda/drink donations for the OA Banquet Saturday.
