“Two teams took Gold in their divisions including our team in division 1… Our team that took Silver played a HARD match against St. James Academy. We only played against high school teams proving BMMS can hold their own. We are very proud of our amazing athletes and peers. Please join me in celebrating them.

Congratulations to eighth-grader Abhirup Maity, of Billy Mills Middle School, for achieving a fourth-place finish and $500 prize at the Douglas County Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge at Peaslee Tech.

His business idea, Ecofy, aims to spread healthy and affordable plants globally.
