You’ve made it through 100% of your hardest days so far.
That matters.

04/23/2026

Mental health is health.
Taking care of your mind is just as important as taking care of your body.
You deserve support at every stage of life.

MYTH: Therapy is only for people in crisis
FACT: Therapy is for anyone who wants support, insight, or growth

You don’t have to wait until things feel overwhelming to reach out.

Growth doesn’t always look like big, dramatic change.

Sometimes it looks like:
• Setting a boundary
• Saying “no” without guilt
• Taking a break when you need it
• Asking for help

Small steps are still progress. 🌿

Supporting teens today can feel overwhelming—but you don’t have to do it alone.

Therapy can help teens:
• Manage emotions
• Build confidence
• Navigate school & social stress
• Develop coping skills

We partner with both teens and parents to create meaningful support.

🧠 Quick Grounding Technique (5-4-3-2-1)

When you’re feeling overwhelmed, try this:
5️⃣ Name 5 things you can see
4️⃣ Name 4 things you can feel
3️⃣ Name 3 things you can hear
2️⃣ Name 2 things you can smell
1️⃣ Name 1 thing you can taste

This can help bring your mind back to the present moment.

Save this for later 💾

Be gentle with yourself today.
Progress doesn’t have to be perfect to matter.

Change doesn’t happen all at once—it happens through small, intentional steps 💙

One helpful framework from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is the 7 R’s of Lasting Change, developed by Russ Harris:

🔹 Reminders – Use cues (notes, alarms) to keep your goals visible
🔹 Records – Track progress to build awareness and accountability
🔹 Rewards – Reinforce positive steps, even small ones
🔹 Routines – Create consistent habits that support your goals
🔹 Relationships – Lean on supportive people who encourage growth
🔹 Reflecting – Pause to notice what’s working (and what’s not)
🔹 Restructuring – Adjust your environment to make change easier

Lasting change isn’t about eliminating difficult thoughts or emotions—it’s about learning how to respond to them in ways that align with your values.

At Family Psychological Services, we’re here to support you in building meaningful, sustainable change.
