💙❤️ Let’s talk about community.
We don't have competitors, we have community partners (and they are so important). We work together to help people find the care and support they need, wherever that may be.

Heartland was at the KU Employee Wellness Fair yesterday, and it was great to see so many organizations all showing up with the same goal: supporting the health and wellbeing of our community.

You really can’t talk about the Lawrence community without mentioning The University of Kansas! Amazing how hey prioritize employee health and host an event like this every year.

Meet Kiersten, a Registered Dental Hygienist here at Heartland. The first Monday of every month she provides dental care to WIC families at Lawrence-Douglas County Public Health.

That's not all! Kiersten also started a dental program for patients with diabetes. She is nothing short of amazing and deserves a lot of recognition. 💙

Health rarely starts in a clinic. It starts with having enough to eat, a safe place to sleep, access to healthcare when you need it, and someone to turn to when life gets hard. No matter who you are or what you're facing, you are welcome here.

I visited 's dental clinic at Ottawa High School today. This is what access to care looks like, but it’s at risk.

Extreme Medicaid cuts passed in last year's partisan budget law mean fewer appointments, fewer providers, and clinics shutting down. I voted no and am fighting to protect affordable health care for Kansas families.

We were glad to welcome Representative Sharice Davids to our dental clinic at Ottawa High School today. She spent time with our Healthy Futures team and saw firsthand how we’re caring for kids across Kansas.

Through Healthy Futures, we provide dental care in 102 schools, at no cost to uninsured students. Medicaid plays a critical role in making this work possible, and we’re grateful for Rep. Davids’ support.
