We heard your feedback, and we want it to be easier to connect with us. Starting Monday, Feb. 9, we will be implementing a new call system designed to help you:
✔️Spend less time waiting
✔️Get connected faster
✔️Communicate more easily with your care team

When you call, you will be greeted by a team member (not an automatic system) who will connect you directly to the right department.

If the team you need is not immediately available, we will explain your options and let you know what to expect, including voicemail or a callback when appropriate.

Let us know in the comments if you have any thoughts about the new system.

Multiple viruses are circulating locally right now, including Covid-19, influenza, RSV, and norovirus.

This is typical for this time of year, but it’s a good reminder to take extra precautions, especially for young children, older adults, or anyone with chronic health conditions.

To help reduce spread make sure you and your family:
• Stay up to date on vaccines
• Wash hands often with soap and water
• Cover coughs and sneezes
• Stay home when sick if possible

If you or your child develops fever, cough, congestion, vomiting, or other concerning symptoms, consider contacting your provider. You can also call us at (785) 841-7297 to make a vaccine appointment.

Cold weather is coming, and a little preparation can make a big difference in staying safe.
• Dress in layers and cover exposed skin
• Bring pets inside or provide warm shelter
• Check on neighbors, especially older adults
• Keep phones charged and close by
• If you are outdoors, take warming breaks
• If it snows, slow down, leave extra space between cars, and avoid travel if roads are unsafe

If you or someone you know needs a warm place to go, Lawrence Community Shelter is Lawrence’s primary emergency shelter during extreme cold. Call them at (785) 832-8864 for questions and assistance.
