So glad you're loving the Mexican Hot Chocolate series. It's my absolute joy to be part of your self-care rituals, 🍫 especially when it involves the food of the gods.

January 18th! Your favorite massage therapist was born. I passed another milestone yesterday. It's been 25 years since I was initiated into Lomi Lomi by the ocean in Hawai'i. It was during my first intensive workshop on Lomi. I went on to apprentice with 2 other Lomi practitioners. 25 years! I still can't believe it. I spent my birthday weekend doing things I love. Restaurant week always lands on my birthday. We had Lucky Sebs and Concept 23. I didn't get many pictures from those dinners but they were 🀀 Spent 2 hours and got to see the Iⁿ'zhúje'waxóbe Sacred Red Rock exhibit with the girls. It's a really special exhibit and it ends this week! Go see it if you can!
πŸŽ‚ What a birthday. Hope you had a good weekend!

At the beginning of each year, we're usually encouraged to start something new. But that's just not how nature is. What was once bright and flourishing, is now still and dormant. During this time, we can revisit last year's journey and take the fruits from each situation. Did we find our voices? Did we find our passion for life? It can be helpful to make a list of our challenges and wins and find the gifts in them. So we can move forward this spring with something new after being greatful with what has passed. Happy New Year! 🐣 🐻

Is this you? 🍫 We have hint cards for that. Pick some up at your next session.

πŸ”Š reposted with sound on πŸ˜… This New Years Eve, I took a trip to Jalu Bathhouse. I've been during the day, but this session was after sunset. It was a beautiful experience. In Tibetan, Jalu འཇའ་ལུས། means β€œRainbow Body,” which refers to the transcendence of physical suffering, uniting the five elements in perfect balance. I definitely saw rainbows before I left. The owners are so sweet and took very good care to make sure I felt comfortable.
When I was finished, I showered and headed back to Lawrence to finish the last night of the year with my daughters. I hope you had a wonderful last day. Happy New Year! πŸŽ‰

🍞🧈The bread and butter of my practice. MASSAGE! But first I want to sincerely thank all of my wonderful clients for a year full of nurturing together. You did it! From the sprained ankles and backs, to adding massage to your physical therapy routine, booking me before and after vacations, protests , important events, transitions, birthdays, holidays, "me time" days, and entire family massage days. πŸ’†πŸ½β€β™€οΈ I'm here for you and you've been here for me this year and I'm so grateful. I hope to see you next year shining just as bright and as relaxed as possible.
All those 25 years ago I remember being a young woman worried about my teacher saying we would eventually have our own style of massage, and how am I going to do that, and how will I find clients and make my own practice? But step by step πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈ I made it here, and with your help. πŸ™ I wish for you every good thing in the new year. πŸ™

So about that massage. 🍞🧈 I offer 4 main types of massage. Pre and postnatal, Lomi Lomi, deep tissue, and restorative.
Prenatal- for the aches and pains of pregnancy.
Postnatal- for adjusting to having given birth and body aches from frequent holding patterns.
Lomi Lomi- for an energy release and massage in one.
Deep tissue- for the deeper muscles and knots.
Restorative- for relaxation and muscle tension release. 😌
About the add-ons- You can enhance your experience with several different add-ons. They pop up before you finish booking your session and you can choose as many as you like. I always offer a free add-on each month.
Epsom soak gift- πŸ› You'll leave with a bath soak gift bag with each session. It changes every month. I highly encourage using it the same day as your massage to further deepen into the relaxed state.
πŸ“±The second to last picture is you booking an appointment. Don't you look happy?! Hehe I'm here for you. 🐣
