Bird Physical Therapy

Bird Physical Therapy At Bird Physical Therapy, we offer a comprehensive approach to rehabilitation care including physical therapy, education, wellness, and on-going support.

At Bird Physical Therapy we value a comprehensive approach to the care and treatment of our patients. We utilize a four-step approach in helping patients achieve their goals.

1. Problem Identification: Our licensed physical therapists evaluate the patient to discover the cause of their problems and not just treat the symptoms.

2. Education: This is a partnership/relationship with the patient that is undertaken for their benefit. When the patient is educated as to why a problem occurs, they become an active participant in their recovery process.

3. Treatment: The therapist and the patient work hard together. The patient completes modifications in their daily life style and exercises at home. The therapist provides guidance, hands-on work and expertise in leading the patient to their goals.

4. On-going Support: Our therapists are available by appointment, phone, or accessible in our gym to answer questions and address concerns. Follow-up appointments are made when necessary to ensure compliance. A phone call is made to the patient one month after releasing them from therapy to ensure compliance with exercises and body awareness activities for long term wellness.

Standing 8 hours a day, 5 days a week—without back, hip, knee, or foot pain—is no small thing. We love hearing how custom orthotics helped this patient stay comfortable, supported, and pain-free during a demanding work season.

Huge shoutout to Kevin for his expertise and thoughtful care 👏
This is what individualized treatment and the right tools can do.

If pain is holding you back at work or in daily life, you don’t have to just “push through it.” We’re here to help you feel your best.

💙 Thank you for trusting Bird Physical Therapy.

Winter weather = higher fall risk ❄️
A few simple habits can go a long way in keeping you safe this season:

✔️ Wear appropriate shoes with good traction
✔️ Take your time—no rushing on ice or snow
✔️ Take small, controlled steps
✔️ Use assistance when needed (handrails, cane, walker)
✔️ When conditions are poor, it’s okay to stay indoors

Falls aren’t just “bad luck”—many are preventable with the right strategies. If you or a loved one are feeling unsteady, unsure, or worried about falling, our physical therapists are here to help you build strength, balance, and confidence.

📞 Reach out to Bird Physical Therapy to learn how we can help you move safely all winter long.

If you want something even gentler (like “send us a message” or “talk to your PT”), I can tweak it in seconds.

Perfect! Thanks!

Here are 3 stretches you can do to increase your spinal mobility!
1. Cat cow! Hold each pose for 5-10 seconds breathing throughout!
2. Child’s Pose! Starting on your hands and knees rock your hips back until they are stacked on top of your heels! Hold for 30 seconds!
3. Thread the Needle: Starting in Child’s Pose, take one arm and thread it underneath your torso until you feel a gentle stretch through the opposite side of your torso!

Try these out and see how you feel!

Progress in motion 👣
Don had started physical therapy to improve his right knee pain. However, his rehabilitation was complicated by his diagnosis of Parkinson’s Disease (PD). PD affects his balance and coordination. Don’s determination reminds us that small wins add up to big changes— and we’re proud to be part of his journey. 💙
