New report from Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services in the Kansas 988 Coordinating Council!

Today, KDADS is sharing a report detailing actions taken by the Kansas 988 Coordinating Council in 2025 and highlighting data on the 988 Lifeline in the state. The report to the 2025 Kansas Legislature was created by the council with support from the Kansas Health Institute.

The holidays can be isolating—even when we're surrounded by people.

You can help change that.

Check in on your quiet friend. Text your coworker who seems off. Call your neighbor who lost someone this year. Invite the person who might not have plans.

Sometimes the most powerful thing you can say is:

"I've been thinking about you. How are you really doing?"

And if someone opens up about struggling, you don't have to have all the answers.

Just listen. Be present. And remind them that help is available.
