Bethany is one of the birth doulas serving the Kansas City area!! When not serving as a doula, she is an ER nurse, and has long term plans to become a midwife!!

Bethany’s client mentioned feeling prepared for birth because of our group birth classes that cover physical prep for birth, mental prep, what the stages of labor actual feel like, birth positions that process labor, and comfort measures!!

Very soon (as in May) we will be adding TWO classes that cover Advocacy & Communication in Birth and Postpartum Prep!

YES, you can sign up for our group classes even if you have not hired us as your doula. We host these classes in Kansas City, Lawrence, and Topeka!!

We are so grateful to have Misty on the team!! She is one of our postpartum doulas and brings over 20 years of newborn care experience!!

Misty and Betsy started talking early on (before Thrive Together Doulas was a full vision) and now with a team, we are able to help even more families in that early postpartum time!

Betsy has been a doula for 10 years now and is stepping into her doula mentor role and LOVING it!!

It’s WORLD DOULA WEEK!

We started Thrive Together Doulas almost a year ago and we are currently planning our first annual client reunion (coming on May 23rd)!!

Our goal is to provide support for MORE families, but in a sustainable way for everyone!

It’s been such an incredible journey so far and we have supported over 60 families in that time. We have built a community.

We have started Thrive Together Moms Circles in Lawrence AND Topeka (and we have our eye on Kansas City next!!)

Thank you to all the families who have entrusted us to support them in their birth and postpartum spaces. Thank you to all the providers who have been incredible to work with!

Finally, the newest Postpartum Doula on our team (for now)!

✨ Becky and I met through her daughter (who is currently serving as a birth doula and student midwife)!

🌿 I am so glad to have another Postpartum doula who is ready to provide support both during the day and overnight!

“Motherhood isn’t meant to be done alone, and you don’t have to do everything to be a good mom.

Let me care for you, while you care for your little one. You are so worthy of rest, nourishment, and support in this sacred season. Think of me like the mom-friend, extra set of hands, and peaceful presence every new mama deserves in her home.

I love loving people through warm, home-cooked meals, sharing recipes from my kitchen, and simply showing up for them in the messy, beautiful parts of life.

Now to Introduce more of the Postpartum Doulas with Thrive Together Doulas!

✨ Katie and I have been hosting the Bump to Baby Support Circle in Lawrence for the past 2 years. She has been a steady presence of support for me in nurturing new moms in Lawrence!

🌿 We are so blessed to have Katie on the Postpartum team, who is ready to support mothers during the day!!

💕 I’ll let Katie share from her heart:

“Mothers are superheroes! To hold space for their primal strength and intuitiveness is both empowering and humbling. It’s incredibly fulfilling to support and nurture their own unique matrescence (transformations of motherhood) journey.

Whether you need help optimizing your home in preparation for a growing family, or building your postpartum care plan to include nourishment, feeding, sleep, and newborn care, I’d love to help.

I’m also passionate about supporting mothers in preparing their home for a newborn without the overwhelm. This desire was born out of my own transition into motherhood.

In 2022, I completed an Eco-Maternity course from the International Parenting Health Institute. This certification provided extensive knowledge of the environmental toxins common in pregnancy and newborn products.

In my Eco Nesting work, I aim to give relief to the mental load of mothers while celebrating their progress over perfection as it relates to the health of their home environment.”
