Our sweet yoga sister and a friend for over 30 years Irene, sent me this a few weeks ago. We’re focusing on Joy!
When we feel good we do good. I have so much gratitude and Joy around all of the good you do. This community is so loving and so dedicated to Seva, our selfless service practice. You make me smile only a daily basis.
What will you do for Joy today? What would make you feel good mind/body/spirit? I’m not talking about chocolate cake good. I’m talking about massage good, s*x good, hot tub good.
What can you do today that helps you feel mentally, physically and emotionally better than you do right now?
I made a promise to myself to get out in the sunshine as often as I can this winter. Today we’re having a break in the cold, so Xander and I are heading out. By the end of the walk, I’ll be dancing to my tunes and ready to make the rest of the day even better.
At this place in my grief, I need to make sure I’m getting enough Vitamin D for my brain. The temp change helps shift brain chemistry and is the fastest way I know to elevate my mood. Xander loves the cold, I get to move my body and listen to my Walking With Xander playlist and we both get to feel Joy!
Gratitude, Grief and Joy are swirling around me these days. I took time last week to be still, to process, to rest, nap and be present with all the uncomfortable truths of the moment.
