Wow! We had such a great turnout at today's convening for our Arts Accessibility Forum. 🎨🎭 We had a great time expanding more on Audio Description and doing some fun group activities.

Some of our amazing guest speakers were Professor Nilou Vakil from the KU school of Architecture & Design and Dr. Joel Synder, the founder of the Audio Description Project! ✨✨

Audio-Reader was honored to provide audio description for several sold-out performances in December of Buddy the Elf: The Musical at the Coterie Theatre in Crown Center. For one especially festive show, we hosted a reception for our listeners that brought the magic of the theater to life in meaningful ways.

Guests received Buddy the Elf-themed gift bags, enjoyed a pre-show stage tour to feel and experience the set, and heard directly from the cast as they described their costumes and characters. Listeners Travis and Halley attended with their families - making it a memorable night for all.

It was a wonderful performance that celebrated arts accessibility and put everyone in the holiday spirit. Thank you to The Coterie and the incredible cast, as well as Audio-Reader's trained audio describer, for helping make this experience possible!
