Let’s play a game of Massage: True or False! 💆♀️✨
I hear a lot of "facts" in the treatment room, but some of them are just tall tales. How many of these did you think were true? 🧐
1️⃣ Myth: If it doesn’t hurt, it’s not working.
❌ Fact: Depth and "pain" are not the same! Effective massage should feel like a "productive" discomfort at most. If you’re tensing up against the pressure, your muscles aren’t actually relaxing.
2️⃣ Myth: You have to undress completely for a massage.
❌ Fact: Your comfort is #1. Whether you prefer to stay fully clothed or leave some layers on, we work around you.
3️⃣ Myth: Drinking water after a massage "flushes out toxins."
❌ Fact: While water is great for hydration, your liver and kidneys handle the toxins. We drink water post-massage because it helps rehydrate tissues that were just worked on! 💧
