At Meadows Physical Therapy & Hand Clinic, we treat vestibular and balance disorders derived from many different conditions including diabetic neuropathy. In conditions such as diabetic neuropathy, patients experience impaired kidney function which often leads to inadequate levels of vitamin D, reducing bone density and muscle strength. Lack of mobility worsens neuropathy and increases the risk of falling.

We are excited to announce that we now offer The Schroth Method as a non-surgical option for scoliosis treatment. The Schroth method will teach you how to adopt an improved posture and how to develop the strength and movement habits to maintain it in life (in your activities of daily living).

Is involves cognitive, sensory-motor and kinesthetic training to teach you how to improve your 3D posture and shape.

Individual aims may include:

· Stop / decrease curve progression or partially correct

· Improve posture and movement function

· Decrease pain symptoms

· Improve breathing capacity

· Improve brace effectiveness

· Prevent/delay surgery

Please join me in welcoming Irina Burdetsky to Meadows Physical Therapy & Hand Clinic. We are very excited to have her on our team!

Irina is originally from Moscow Russia, but she lived in NYC since the age of 16. As a child, she was involved in competitive gymnastics and dance. She recently moved to Atlanta, GA, where she enjoys the lovely weather and southern hospitality.

Some of her specialties include:
* Dry Needling
* Work Conditioning

Irina will be at our Lawrenceville location on Mondays & Wednesdays and in our John's Creek location on Tuesdays & Thursdays.

Fascial Stretch Therapy focuses on the connective tissue known as "fascia".
