If you don't use Massage Therapy as a part of your regular health maintenance, but rather only visit a therapist when you hurt....don't expect your therapist to be a miracle worker.

You may feel somewhat, or a LOT, better after a therapeutic treatment, but you should treat this problem just as you would treat an ailment for which you are visiting a Physical Therapist. Go once, if it helps some....visit again within 3 days......and possibly a 3rd or 4th time 3-4 days apart! Visiting one time per week will help, but will require MUCH longer treatment to alleviate an acute problem. Visiting 3-4 times on an every 3-4 day basis may be the key to helping you.

How do you know if it is working? You should feel at least a little better after each treatment, and tremendously better after being treated a 4th time. If you don't, you may require some additional modality for your healing.

Once the acute phase has ended, you should now add Massage Therapy as a continuing health maintenance program as often as you can afford to go!
