Thank you to our amazing legislators for coming out to visit with us this week! Rep. Matt Reeves, Rep. Segun Adeyina, Rep. Doreen Carter, Rep. Rhonda Taylor and Rep. Marvin Lim were joined by DBHDD's Patrick Bielecki and Kennedy Dickerson along with True North's Bernard Reynolds and View Point Health Board Member Yvette Morton Williams. We were excited to give updates on behavioral health in our area including View Point Health’s impact in the community. Today is World Mental Health Day

In a world of endless headlines and breaking news, it's easy to get caught in the cycle of doomscrolling—scrolling through negative news, feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or even numb.

Today, on World Mental Health Day, we’re reminding ourselves and each other that our minds were not built to carry the weight of the world 24/7.

Yes, staying informed is important.
But so is protecting your peace.

This year’s theme—“Mental health is a universal human right”—includes the right to boundaries. The right to rest. The right to step back and care for your emotional well-being.

You’re not ignoring the world. You’re protecting your ability to show up for it—stronger, clearer, and more grounded.

Take care of your mind. You deserve it. 💚
