How to Apply for Rooted in Grace Recovery & Discipleship

If you or a loved one is interested in joining our program, here’s how to get started:

📞 Step 1: Reach out to Jeffery Metz by phone at 618-707-6233.

📋 Step 2: Jeffery will schedule an in-person interview (in some cases, a phone interview may be done).

✅ Step 3: If you agree to our program rules and guidelines, and Jeffery feels you are a good fit, you will be accepted based on availability.
• If a bed is open, you may be placed immediately.
• If not, you will be placed on a waiting list.

📆 Step 4 (Waitlist Requirement):
Once approved and placed on the waiting list, you must check in weekly by calling or texting Jeffery.
• This helps us identify those who are serious about the program.
• If you miss a check-in, you will be removed from the waiting list and must restart the application process.

We are here to help those who are ready for change and committed to the journey.

Hi community,

We want to keep you all as informed as possible because, at the end of the day, we serve you.

Unfortunately, if you haven’t already heard, the Women’s Center will be closing on April 15. While our original and long-term vision has always been to serve both men and women, having both in the same location has not worked as well as we hoped. On top of that, the cost of maintaining the building has been high, and we have not had enough women residents to offset those expenses.

Please know that women are still very much part of the vision. Right now, we simply need to take a step back, regroup, and seek direction. We truly believe God will lead us through this, just as He has every step of the way. We have come so far in such a short amount of time, and we trust there is more ahead.

With that being said, we would love for you to join us in celebrating the graduations of:

Brandy Thomas
Miranda Brenton

Their graduation will be held on April 17th at 3:00 PM at Covenant of Grace Church of God, located at 712 11th St. in Lawrenceville.

Sunday nights look a little different around here.
Hands lifted, hearts surrendered, and lives being changed right before our eyes.

This isn’t just a service. This is freedom, brotherhood, and a real encounter.

So grateful for what God is doing through these men at Rooted in Grace Recovery & Discipleship!

If you feel led to give, we are currently in need of some basic cleaning and hygiene items for the men in our program. These simple things go a long way in helping them maintain a clean space and take care of themselves.

We are in need of:
• Swiffer pads
• Dish soap
• Pledge
• Windex
• Dish sponges
• Dishwasher pods
• Bleach
• Air freshener

And for personal hygiene:
• Deodorant
• Toothbrushes
• Razors
• Shampoo
• Body wash
• Rags/loofahs
• Towels

Every donation—big or small—makes a difference and is deeply appreciated. Thank you for continuing to support and pour into the lives of these men.

God continues to provide!

We are so thankful for the Lord’s continued blessings on Rooted in Grace Recovery and Discipleship. This 12-passenger van will help us get the guys to church services out of town, court, appointments, and wherever they need to be as they rebuild their lives.

What a blessing. God is good!

This is what brotherhood looks like.

Brothers in Christ praying together.
When one is down, the others gather around.
Helping lift you up.
Helping carry the weight when it’s too heavy to bear alone.

Walking beside you, guiding you, and showing you the way—just as someone once showed them.

This is what the body of Christ is meant to be.
Not perfect men… but men pursuing a perfect Savior together.
