At Rooted in Grace, we believe recovery is more than getting clean. It’s becoming who God created you to be. It’s restoring what was broken. It’s proving that your story isn’t over.

Tonight Jeffery took some of the guys out for some good, clean, sober fun. They shot pool, bowled a few rounds, laughed a lot, and just enjoyed being present. No chaos. No substances. Just fellowship and healthy connection.

This is what recovery looks like.
It’s learning how to have fun again.
It’s building brotherhood.
It’s replacing old habits with new memories.

So proud of these men for choosing sobriety one day at a time — and so thankful for a husband who invests in them beyond the walls of the program.

Sobriety isn’t something we achieve once and put on a shelf. It’s a daily surrender.

Jesus said in Luke 9:23, “Take up your cross daily and follow Me.” Daily. Not once. Not when it’s easy. Not only when we feel strong. Every single day.

Sobriety is rented — and the rent is paid through prayer, humility, accountability, and staying close to the One who strengthens us. We don’t stay free by our own power. We stay free by His grace.

Today, we pay the rent again.
With gratitude.
With surrender.
With faith.

And God is faithful to meet us right where we are. 🤍
