A huge THANK YOU to our Advisory Committee for taking the time to meet with us! Your continued involvement, feedback, and industry insight play a critical role in helping us keep our program current and aligned with the needs of today’s imaging departments.

Because of conversations like these—identifying what skills, technology, and experiences our students need—we’re able to make meaningful improvements to our program.

One of our most recent improvements is a new portable X-ray machine! This equipment is a direct reflection of our commitment to staying up-to-date and giving our students hands-on experience with the tools they’ll see in the field.

Our students had a great time at the Wilhelm’s Trivia Bowl 2026!

This annual event brings together radiography students from programs across the state for a fast-paced trivia style competition. It is designed to review our future imaging professionals for the registry. This was a great opportunity as our seniors prepare to take this national certification exam in May.

We are proud of our students for showing up, thinking fast and representing our program well!

X-ray isn’t always within the four walls of a hospital or imaging center. Sometimes, it pulls up In your driveway!

Today our second-year students had the opportunity to hear from the Sooner Mobile X-ray, Inc. team. Our students learned about the day-to-day workflow, the independence required in mobile imaging, and the unique patient care skills it takes to work outside the four walls of a hospital. It opened their eyes to career paths that are flexible, meaningful, and deeply rooted in service.

To the Sooner Mobile X-Ray team — thank you for investing in our students and showing them what compassionate, community-based imaging looks like in action. We are grateful for your time, your insight, and your willingness to pour into the next generation of technologists.

Our 2nd-year students took cell structure to the next level with their Edible Cell Project — and the creativity did not disappoint!

But this wasn’t just about candy and frosting. Understanding the nucleus, DNA, and cell function is foundational to Radiation Biology. Radiation affects the body at the cellular level, so before we talk about damage, repair, and recovery… we start with the cell.

Hands-on learning. Strong foundations. Future radiologic technologists in the making.

Welcome back!

We jumped right into the semester (and yes—we couldn’t pass up the fun caricature trend ).

Our 2nd-year students are deep into comps, proficiencies, and coursework as we work to keep everyone on track for graduation. It’s busy, focused, and very much all hands on deck.

Our 1st-year students have officially entered the world of extremity imaging, and they’re already doing great things—we’re excited to watch those skills grow.

We are ready for a fast paced and exciting semester!

💡 Oh no… our best-kept secret is out!
The Radiologic Technology Program has heavily relied on Alijah—from our big move to Burch last summer all the way through finals week in early December. If something worked, connected, printed, projected, or magically came back to life… chances are Alijah was involved.

Thank you, Alijah, for being dependable, patient, and an absolute problem-solving legend. We appreciate you more than you know! 🎉👏

The On Campus Alumni Committee would like to congratulate Alijah Marrero on being the January winner of the ACE Award! Alijah plays an integral role on campus as one of our most valued technicians in the IT department, and is always willing to problem solve! No matter the issue, Alijah stays committed to helping Cameron succeed and keeping our critical technology up and running! Thank you Alijah!🎉🎉

As the final exams are submitted and grades are wrapped up, our students have officially earned a well-deserved break.
Faculty are closing out the semester and shifting into holiday mode—and it feels like the right moment to pause and reflect.

This has been a big year for the Cameron University Radiologic Technology Program. Growth, challenges, long days, early mornings, and countless moments that pushed everyone, students and faculty alike.

To our students: thank you for your grit, your resilience, and your commitment to this profession. You showed up, even when it was hard.
To our families and support systems: thank you for cheering, supporting, and carrying our students through the tough weeks.
To our alumni: thank you for continuing to represent this program with excellence in the field and for staying connected to the CU Rad Tech family.

We are proud of where this program has been, excited about where it’s going, and grateful for the people who make it what it is.

Wishing our students, families, alumni, and clinical partners a peaceful, restorative, and joy-filled holiday season. 🎄

🫁 Meet our classic chest phantom — the definition of a perfect patient.
No movement. No complaints. No “I can’t take a deep breath.”
Just pristine anatomy every single time. 😌

This phantom has been with the Cameron Rad Tech program for at least 25 years (possibly longer!). He’s helped generation after generation of students learn to recognize normal anatomy so they can quickly spot what’s not normal in real patients.

We’re curious — alumni, do you remember him? Drop a year in the comments if you trained with this legend! ⬇️

👋 Say hello to Gelatin Jack — the newest member of our lab.😄

Jack is made of a gelatin-like material that lets us visualize internal organs, practice abdominal imaging, and teach spatial anatomy in a way that textbooks just can’t match.

We keep him wrapped in plastic because — no joke — this guy is slippery. 🫠
But he gives our students a clear view of structures they’ll see every day in clinical practice.

He might be new, but he’s already a student favorite. 🌟

🩻 Meet Damaged Debbie — our full-body trauma phantom.
She’s taken more “hits” in the name of education than any superhero ever has. 💥😆

Debbie helps our students learn how to:
• Identify fractures 🦴
• Recognize bullet fragments and other pathologies
• Practice trauma positioning
• Work under pressure

She’s realistic, durable, and absolutely essential to learning how to image injured patients safely and accurately.

Fun fact: our students take excellent care of her… even if she’s always showing up with “mystery injuries.” 😅
