Mark, Speech Pathologist, serves ages 0-21 in articulation, language, selective mutism, AAC, and stuttering with an expertise in autism and severe disabilities. It's so exciting to see progress. There are many tricks and strategies that can be used to get a child moving if they have been "stuck" on a language skill, language related behavior, social skills, or even the /r/. This site is a service to my clients, friends and those out there who need a bit of a boost for ideas for language progress. It should never replace therapy from a licensed speech language pathologist. Those direct intervention services are invaluable. The instruction you get will show you how to implement these skills.

This steps out of my wheelhouse, but I'd like to share a thought. IMO, this clip shows and important part of a good relationship.

I realize many folks are not in this situation. It's a thought to pursue personal and/or marriage counseling as an important part of working with your children. If the adults are on the same page, even if they work on different goals, progress is much faster.

Consider sending this to your spouse with some flowers.
