The Nancy L. Boyd Award is given to someone truly special. Nancy lived her entire life in service to others. She graduated high school with honors and was the valedictorian of her senior class, but her greatest achievements were found in her kindness. Nancy believed deeply in doing the small things that made a big difference—writing cards to the families of residents who had passed away to offer peace and comfort, ensuring everyone had a seat in the dining room, giving hugs to those who were feeling sad, and often putting aside her own comfort to help someone else feel valued.
The recipient of this award is someone who follows in Nancy’s footsteps by showing genuine kindness, compassion, and selflessness, and by performing small acts that make others feel seen, cared for, and truly special.
Congratulations to the amazing Harley M! She is a truly deserving recipient of this award, consistently going above and beyond in everything she does. Harley shared a special bond with Nancy, and she continues to honor that legacy in the most meaningful ways.
Whether she’s taking extra time to clean a resident’s room, sitting with someone who needs a friend, laughing and dancing with residents, or simply sharing a meal, Harley acts with compassion and genuine care. Her kindness and dedication make a lasting impact on everyone around her.
