As the days begin to get shorter, Sundowning in the elderly begins earlier. Sundowning is a state of increased agitation, confusion, disorientation and anxiety that typically occurs in the late afternoon or evening in some individuals living with Alzheimer's or Dementia. Calling all awesome CNA’s! Are you tired of facility work? Not appreciated? And not paid very well? Do you want to work less, but earn more? Well.. come to a place that will appreciate you, provide you the schedule flexibility you deserve, and also pay you very competitively per visit rather than per hour for your awesomeness. This position is great for those going to school, looking to have a healthier work/life balance, or just more flexibility to enjoy your day. Most of our clients live in facilities rather than their homes. So you visit one or two buildings, see your patients, then are done for the day.

We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team! You will work alongside fellow caregivers to provide high quality patient care. The job location will be in the Davis County area (Kaysville to Bountiful). This position is PRN/Part Time.

Responsibilities:

· Provides personal care to the patient as assigned by the nurse.

· Assists the patient with transfers and/or ambulation.

· Turns and positions patients who are bed bound.

· Provide skin care to patients.

· Care of hair and nails.

· Assists with Range of Motion (ROM) appropriate for the patient.

· Assists patient with meals.

· Assists patients with toileting: bedroom, bedpan, and urinal.

· Assists with or provide complete bed baths, oral hygiene, and showering.

· Assists patients with medications which are self-administered.

· Changes simple non-sterile dressings or external bags per State and Federal Regulations.

· Ensure growth and profitability of the company through the responsible use of company resources and educating the community to our services.

· Perform light housekeeping tasks.

· Ensures that patients have adequate incontinence supplies at all times.

· Observes and reports changes in patient conditions and needs to the Registered Nurse/therapist.

· Completes paperwork in an accurate and timely manner, per policies.

· Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings as appropriate to coordinate patient care, exchange information and receive staff support and in-service education.

· Follows patient plan of care at all times.

· Participates in agency quality assessment performance improvement (QAPI) projects.

· Accepts other assignments deemed appropriate.

· Willingly accepts direction from Director of Professional Services, and Registered Nurse/Case Manager.

· Adheres to established personnel policies.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in nursing, patient care, or other related fields
Ability to build rapport with patients
Compassionate and caring demeanor
Familiarity with medical terminology
Ability to work well in teams
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license
Current CPR
Job Type: Part-time
