✨ Staff Spotlight ✨
Brenda Galles is our office manager! She grew up on a small farm outside of Marcus with her parents and one brother. She graduated from MMC High School, where she was active in volleyball, basketball, softball, and band.
After high school, Brenda attended WITCC and earned her nursing degree (LPN license). While waiting to take her nursing boards, she also completed a year of medical secretary training. She worked for two years at Siouxland Medical Health Foundation in Sioux City before seeking an opportunity closer to home in Le Mars.
Dr. Tom Jeneary took a chance on Brenda, recognizing her medical background and upbeat attitude. With guidance from Dr. Jeneary and his assistant, Dianne, Brenda learned the ins and outs of the dental field. She began her career 29.5 years ago as a dental assistant and gradually expanded her skills to include front office responsibilities, eventually moving into her own office as Office Manager.
When asked about her job title, Brenda likes to say she is a “Jack of all Trades, Master of None.” She continues to fill in at the front desk when needed and is always ready to step in wherever she can help throughout the office.
Favorite saying: “I have a love-hate relationship with technology!” 🙂
Her favorite part of the job is educating patients about upcoming procedures, answering their questions, and being a strong team player within the practice.
Outside of work, Brenda enjoys volunteering at Wet-Nose Rescue, helping promote animals in need of loving homes. She also shares her home with her feline friend, Cloud, who keeps life entertaining and full of personality. From early spring to late fall, you’ll likely find her in the garden or alongside her other half, Todd, attending local Farmers Markets selling honey, kettle corn, gourmet popcorn flavors, and fresh garden produce. Mexican food tops her list of favorites, and any travel they can fit into their busy social calendar is never enough.
