The R sound can be one of the hardest sounds for kids to master 👏🏻 especially for older kiddos.

Sometimes we hear “wabbit” instead of “rabbit.”

Today we practiced using a mirror so we could watch what the tongue is doing. The goal?
👉 Tongue back
👉 Lips relaxed
👉 Strong R sound instead of W

It may look like we’re just playing a game, but every round is practice, awareness, and progress.

Speech therapy helps kids learn how their mouth moves so they can build confidence with tricky sounds like R.
