Stress and trauma don’t just live in the mind. They create real changes throughout the entire body.
For some people, the body holds tension in the chest or heart space.
For others, it shows up in the neck, jaw, back, hips, stomach, or even the hands and feet.
Every body stores things differently.
There is no single “trauma spot.”
During trauma-informed massage, as muscles, fascia, and the nervous system begin to soften, release can happen anywhere the body has been holding. You might feel:
• a deep breath
• warmth or tingling
• shaking or trembling
• an emotional wave
• or tears
These aren’t signs of weakness — they’re signs that your body finally feels safe enough to let go.
My role is to hold a grounded, compassionate space while your body decides what it’s ready to release.
