Be ready to observe by having your glass of milk handy as it is National Oreo Cookie Day. This day is recognized across the nation each year on March 6th. The Oreo sandwich cookie is made up of two chocolate disks containing a sweet cream filling and is loved by millions. Since its introduction, the Oreo cookie has become the best-selling cookie in the United States. Today staff was able to grab Oreo’s from the break room to enjoy! Thank You to the Sunshine Committee for providing such a great treat! Residents also were able to enjoy Oreo’s durning the morning activity!

Happy Maintenance Worker Appreciation Day!
National Maintenance Worker Appreciation Day is celebrated annually on March 4th (and sometimes recognized on March 7th) to honor the, custodians, and grounds crews who keep schools, offices, and facilities safe, clean, and functional. This day recognizes their hard work in repairs, cleaning, and maintenance. We celebrated our Maintenance Department with a great lunch from Henry’s Deli! Thank You John, Adam, Ryan and Kevin for everything you do at LVG! You all are amazing and LVG is lucky to have all of you!

LVG’s March Employee of the Month is Judy Gay! Judy is a Unit Assistant here at LVG! She works with a great department and is always willing to help out, come in early, stay late and even come in on her days off. Judy goes above and beyond the call of duty often cleaning closets , making beds and providing residents with smiles ,conversations and requests. Lisa Heyward thinks that she has only missed one day of work! Debi Mart stated “Judy is always so helpful and kind! LVG’s February Employee of the Month is Ryan Judge! Ryan has worked at LVG for 23 years. He was nominated by Charissa DuPont and Lisa Heywood. Charissa stated that “Ryan is always quick to respond to work orders placed by therapy and goes above and beyond to help solve any problem. “ Lisa stated “ Ryan has worked at LVG for a long time and always brings a great attitude and his can do motivation. He is always happy to help or give direction to where to get help. Ryan is always kind to all the employees and residents. Ryan is a Great Fella and has a Great Attitude!” Congratulations Ryan ! We have two spots left in our next in person CNA class starting on March 9th at LeRoy Village Green! This is a paid training ($16/hour). We also have 5 more spots available in our online (part online/part onsite) class starting on March 23rd. The onsite portion of this training is also paid at $16.00 per hour. Rates up to $21/hour plus shift & weekend differentials once certification is complete.
