A group of Le Sueur Rotarians (and a little helper ❤️) packed backpacks on Wednesday afternoon in an effort to address hunger in our community.

Le Sueur Rotarians manage the 🎒Backpack Nutrition Program, which supplies bags of shelf-stable foods and fresh fruit from local and regional sources. The program packs and distributes food weekly to 60 children during the school year to ensure students are not hungry over the weekend. 🍎🥫🍌🍝

Each bag of nuts is one pound and costs $15. These nuts are perfect for your holiday baking, hosting and gift-giving needs.

We have pecans, cashews, chocolate covered peanuts, deluxe mixed nuts and chocolate amaretto pecans available!

JB Lackey, representing the Le Sueur County Sheriff’s Posse, joined us at our noon meeting today! 🐴

We gained valuable insight into the training, service, and volunteer efforts of the Sheriff’s Posse.

We appreciate JB taking the time to speak to our club.

Le Sueur Rotarians had a blast handing out glow sticks to around 500 ghosts and goblins yesterday during the Trick-or-Treat on Main Street event! 👻🧙🎃

Thank you to the Le Sueur Public Library for letting us set up inside, so we stayed warm and dry.

Thank you to the City of Le Sueur for a wonderful community event!

We will be set up outside Le Sueur public Library from 3:30-5:00pm.

The Rotary Club of Le Sueur welcomed LS-H Senior (and RYLA alum*) Owen Greisen to our lunch meeting today to present about his Eagle Scout project. Owen is in the final stages of restoring the disc golf course at Mayo Park in Le Sueur.

Thanks Owen for sharing with us about your awesome project! We can’t wait to check out the finished product 😃

*RYLA stands for Rotary Youth Leadership Award - a leadership development program for high school students organized by Rotary International Clubs.

WORLD POLIO DAY 2025

The global community comes together today to commemorate World Polio Day 2025.

World Polio Day presents an opportunity for Rotary members, public health advocates, and like-minded individuals to unite, reflect on advancements in the quest to eliminate polio, and chart a course towards a future free from polio.

Before Rotary's PolioPlus campaign began, 500 new cases of Polio were reported DAILY in India. Experts around the world believed it impossible to get rid of polio.

The experts were wrong. This video celebrates the 10-year anniversary of Polio eradication in India!!

By coming together with a common goal, we can achieve the seemingly "impossible" in Afghanistan and Pakistan as well.
