We are so thankful for all the first responders in our community and for everyone who came out today for the First Responder Mental Health Seminar! ❤️
Today, we had employees attend a Mental Health Seminar in Leadwood. It was a valuable opportunity to focus on the importance of mental wellness, especially in the line of work we do every day.
Something many people don’t often think about—our dispatchers are usually the very first voice someone hears in a moment of crisis. They answer those distress calls, gather critical information, and send help as quickly as possible. But what many don’t realize is that they rarely get to see or hear how those calls end.
They don’t always know if the person made it, if the situation was resolved safely, or how their calm voice may have made all the difference in someone’s worst moment.
That unknown can weigh heavily.
Today was a reminder that taking care of our mental health is just as important as taking care of the communities we serve. We are proud of our team for continuing to learn, grow, and support one another—both on and off the job.
Please take a moment to appreciate not just the responders you see, but also the voices behind the scenes who are there when it matters most.
