Some things feel “too small” to mention.

A comment from weeks ago.

A passing moment that made your stomach twist.
But small things aren’t always small—especially when they land on old wounds.

Therapy is about noticing what your nervous system remembers, even when your mind tries to minimize it. It’s safe to explore it. It matters.

💡 Mental Health Awareness Month is coming, and we’ve got big things in store to make mental health feel more accessible and relatable. Follow us at LifeTree to be part of the conversation.

Because behavior is communication… even when it’s messy. (Say it louder for those in the back: EVEN WHEN IT’S MESSY.)

I want to be clear—this doesn’t mean I’m saying there shouldn’t be consequences or guidance. Discipline is important. But if we only correct without getting curious, we miss a huge opportunity to understand what a child is really carrying.

As someone who works primarily with kids, I see every day how behavior is their way of telling us about their feelings, fears, and stress. The more we get curious, the more we can help them feel seen and supported.

💡 Next time your kid “overreacts,” pause and ask yourself: what is this behavior trying to tell me?

You don’t always realize how much you’ve been holding… until it comes out.

This carousel is a small piece of Alyssa’s story—both as a mom and a counselor.

If you want to hear more, we’re sharing her full interview on our page.

And if you’re a parent navigating autism and feeling alone in it, this group was created with you in mind.

When my son was 2, I started noticing things that didn’t quite add up.

And one night in a small group, it all just came out.

The emotions.The questions.The loneliness.

If you’re in this season too, I want you to know—you don’t have to do this alone.

We’ll be sharing my full interview here on social media this weekend.

And I’m leading a parent support group starting next week, Monday nights in April. It’s a space for parents who just need to be understood.

Faith can be beautiful.

But when faith has been used to wound, coming back can feel terrifying.

Curiosity and caution can exist in the same heart.
If this story feels familiar, you’re not alone, and you don’t have to carry it alone.

Counseling doesn’t only happen in an office.

Sometimes it looks like standing with the community at a vigil.

Sometimes it’s speaking with parents.

Sometimes it’s showing up at local events and mental health fairs.

We’re grateful for the opportunities we’ve had to be present in the places where life is actually happening.

Hey, yes, you.

The one thinking therapy isn’t for you because it feels too expensive or your life is too messy.

You deserve to be heard. You deserve space to breathe. You deserve someone to walk alongside you — even if life is chaotic.

At LifeTree, we make faith, hope, and healing accessible to everyone.

Turns out the kids we once were… shaped the therapists we became.

Before the degrees, the offices, and the therapy couches — we were just kids learning how to be humans too.

The people you sit across from in therapy aren’t perfect or put together all the time. We’re people with stories, experiences, and moments that shaped us long before this became our work.

And somehow, those parts of our story are often what help us sit with others in theirs.

The people you sit across from in therapy… were kids once too.

Now we want to know — how many did you get right? 👀

The Monday after spring break always hits a little different.

Everyone’s tired.
The routine disappeared.

The kids suddenly forgot how mornings work.
And somehow there’s sand, laundry, and emails waiting for you.

Turns out a week off makes Monday feel extra Monday-ish.
