UTMB PT Ortho Residency

UTMB PT Ortho Residency The Orthopedic Physical Therapy program at UTMB is accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association as a postprofessional residency in orthopedics.

Residents in the UTMB orthopedic program will have opportunities to participate in physician clinics (ortho, radiology, pain, ENT, maxillofacial, etc), research, teaching entry level DPT students, and coverage of local high school sporting events. The program will focus on advancing skills in: Examination, Evaluation, and Treatment particularly in the manual therapy arena. Our goal is to develop clinicians ready to assume the role of specialist in their designated field. Our orthopedic program is a year long. Once credentialed, graduates are eligible to sit for the APTA specialty board examination in orthopaedics (OCS).
