This little circle is humbling.

Because most of us say we want “balance,” but if you actually rate these areas honestly, something is usually on life support.

Business might be thriving while your health is trash.
Your relationships might be solid while your self-love is nonexistent.
You might be crushing goals and quietly miserable.

The wheel does not lie.

If one section is flat, the ride gets bumpy. And you feel that bumpiness in your stress levels, your sleep, your patience, your body.

Balance is not about perfection in every category. It is about awareness. It is about admitting where you have been overcompensating and where you have been avoiding.

Cho Ku Rei is known as the power symbol.

But let’s make this less mystical and more honest.

It represents chi. Life force. The current running through your body whether you acknowledge it or not.

When I use this symbol in session, it is about intention and amplification. It is a way of saying, “Focus here. Strengthen this. Clear this.”

Energy follows attention.

If your nervous system has been stuck in survival mode, your body feels it. Tight jaw. Shallow breathing. Chronic tension you cannot stretch away.

This symbol is about restoring power where you have been leaking it.

Most people don’t realize how shallow their breathing becomes when they’re stressed.

When you’re overwhelmed, anxious, or overthinking, your breath moves up into your chest. It gets tight. Fast. Reactive. And your nervous system follows that cue.

Mindful breathing is not about pretending everything is positive. It’s about regulating your body first.

Deep, intentional breaths signal safety.
Slow inhales create space.
Longer exhales tell your brain it can stand down.

Try this:
Inhale for 4.
Hold for 4.
Exhale for 6.

Do it five times. Notice what shifts.

You can go to the gym every day and still feel empty.
You can have all the friends in the world and still feel lonely.
You can eat clean and still feel emotionally wiped out.

Holistic wellbeing means looking at the whole picture — your emotional health, your social support, and your physical wellness. They’re all connected. When one is off, the others feel it.
