Austin Music Therapy visits our Memory Care community once a month, and our residents truly enjoy the interactive music sessions! Music is such an essential part of life for those in Memory Care—and really for all older adults. It helps spark memories, build connections, and bring joy, comfort, and happiness to everyone who participates. 🎶❤️

Our residents had a wonderful time on our Olive Garden outing this week! Nothing beats good company, great pasta, and of course—those famous breadsticks! It was a fun and tasty afternoon for everyone. 🍝✨

We celebrated our November birthdays in true Mickey Mouse fashion! 🎉🐭

It just so happened to be Mickey’s birthday too, so we turned the whole day into a Disney celebration!

A big thank-you to Brian from Magnolia for supplying the amazing cake and cupcakes — they were a hit! 🎂✨

Our residents were treated to a special cooking demo by Harvey himself! The food was delicious, but the real highlight was spending time with Harvey—his energy and kindness always light up the room. We’re grateful for such an amazing culinary team!

Our residents truly enjoy intergenerational activities, and we’re lucky to have Tom Glenn High School right behind The Haven. Their DECA program is one of the many wonderful opportunities students participate in—a Career and Technical Education (CTE) club that prepares young leaders for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management through hands-on learning and competitive events.

Thank you to these amazing students and future leaders for spending time with our residents! Your visits always brighten their day.

Our Chili Cook-Off was a huge success! 🌶️👏 Our residents had a blast sampling delicious, home-cooked chili made by some of the best chefs around. A big thank you to everyone who participated and helped fill our residents’ tummies (and hearts) with warmth and joy! ❤️

🎃👻 Halloween Fun at The Haven at San Gabriel! 👻🎃
Our Haunted Hallways were absolutely spooktacular! 👀💀 We had more than 70 children come by to visit our grand friends here at The Haven — what a turnout! 🧡

Not only did we hand out tons of candy, but we also shared free children’s books to make the night even sweeter! 🍬📚

A huge thank you to everyone who donated candy or volunteered their time — your support means the world to us. 💖
