Blooming Yogis Offering yoga classes to kids and teens (ages 3-18) in Harford County, MD Come bloom with me yogis!

Blooming Yogis is passionate about bringing yoga to kids and teens in hopes that one day, it will be a part of their everyday lives. I believe that today children need the balance and focus that yoga provides more than ever. With regular practice, yoga brings increased focus, confidence, a sense of trust in oneself, as well as inner and outer strength. Kids who practice yoga regularly learn tools for life and are more resilient when faced with difficult or stressful situations. Yoga provides youth with tools they can use in their day to day lives; a breath they can practice to help them focus, another to help calm them down, a pose that increases their ability to balance and gain strength, or helps to ground them. Each theme-based class incorporates mindfulness, breath work, poses, partner and group poses, games and guided visualizations. While lessons are created based on age and development, I meet each student where they are and aim to provide a safe environment for them to bloom and grow.

I have become more and more aware of the inner happenings of my body, tuning into the subtle (and not so subtle) changes, twinges and sensations, meanwhile trying to remain confident and courageous, and feeling so excited at finally meeting this precious little one that has already changed our lives.
I must be honest and admit that labor is intimidating, though I know that the reward is the greatest of all. This time around, may I not forget to breathe, may I remember to surrender, to have faith and to trust the process. This is the yoga of life…
