New episode! 🎧

This week on Just a Mom, I’m joined by Hector Rodriguez for an important conversation about teen and young adult mental health.

We talk about how the adolescent brain functions during a mental health crisis, how tools like SPECT scans can provide insight, the lasting impact of the pandemic, warning signs parents should be aware of, and the role cannabis may play. Dr. Rodriguez also emphasizes the importance of parents staying regulated and building their own support systems.

An informative and empowering episode you won’t want to miss. 🎙️

New episode! 🎙️

Ryan Bevins (right) and JP Claxton (left) join The Just Mom Podcast to share the heart behind Fight Club: A movement giving teens, especially young men, a safe place to talk about what they’re really feeling.

What started as a simple response to struggling kids has grown into 29 groups (and counting), changing how young people learn to name, share, and sit with their emotions. From peer-led conversations to expanding into colleges, launching Fight Club for girls, and partnering with Kids TLC, the impact is real and growing.

This is a hopeful, honest conversation every parent and mentor needs to hear. 🤍
