About to head into what’s called an isolated neck lift, which means only a neck lift and not a facelift along with it. This beautiful patient is in her 30s and has a genetically heavier neck. Because she is younger and does not yet show signs of jowling, I did not recommend doing a facelift as well as the neck lift. However every person ages differently so for some patients the same age I may recommend they have a facelift to maximize their results.

Molly pointed out an interesting observation this morning- all three of our face and neck lift consultations today were women in their 30s.

While age is definitely one factor that goes into facelift candidacy, it’s not the only factor.

And yes I filmed this with my morning coffee and am just now getting to posting at almost 10 pm 😅 That’s a sign of a great day!

Let me cut to the chase. The only thing that will get you surgical results is surgery.

🤔 Drains vs no drains after a facelift. Theres no right or wrong way to do it, just different surgical techniques and surgeon preference. With my deep plane facelift technique, drains are not required most of the time.

✨✨Facelifts on younger patients are trending. But does that automatically mean you’ll need to do another facelift in the future?

First, nobody “needs” a facelift. And often younger patients are not a candidate for a facelift. If you are a candidate and choose to move forward with a facelift in your 40s (or at any age!), keep in mind that your face will continue to age after surgery.

🤩 A beautiful upper blepharoplasty result for this wonderful patient. For an upper bleph (eyelid lift) we remove just a tiny sliver of skin to reduce the heaviness of the lid. Once healed the incision will be hidden in the natural creases of the eyelid skin.
