So, how does introducing peanuts early reduce the risk of young kids developing peanut allergies? 🥜👇

Starting in 2015, the American Academy of Pediatrics updated its guidelines, recommending that parents introduce eggs, peanuts, and other major food allergens to children between 4 and 6 months old.

A study of 120,000 children found that since these new guidelines were introduced, the number of children diagnosed with peanut or other food allergies has dropped by 27%! 📉

This study shows that the immune system is trainable. By introducing allergenic foods early, consistently and safely, the immune system can learn tolerance.
