Along with their human family members Steve, Lisa, and Dory, they visit assisted living facilities, camps, schools, police stations, hospitals - anywhere needed, to make smiles, give comfort, and bring the love of Jesus Christ and serve our community. Our services are on a volunteer basis. Both Poppy and Vera are "Doodles" - Poppy being a Goldendoodle and Vera being an Australian Labradoodle. Both are non-shedding and hypoallergenic making them great therapy dogs for people who are allergic to dogs. Both girls have been through training and have passed their Canine Good Citizen tests through American Kennel Club. They were then accepted as Ambassadors for Christ with Canines For Christ. Steve and Lisa have been in children's ministry as teachers and leaders for over 20 years. They are also former foster parents and have had several classes in behavioral children. Dory is 17 years old and a Junior handler for Canines For Christ and shows the dogs in 4-H dog shows and NADAC agility trials. She has been training and showing since she was 12 years old.
