Pilates Reformer classes use Merrithew reformers, specialized equipment that combines a bed-like frame, a carriage on wheels, and springs. Exercises can be done lying down, sitting, standing, pulling the straps, pushing the foot bar, and more. The exercises promote strength, flexibility, and balance leading to better posture, and even relief from pain associated with physical imbalances.
