Stay Safe in Cold Weather!
It is going to be dangerously cold tonight and the rest of the week. Cold weather can be harmful to your health. Protect yourself and your loved ones with these essential winter safety tips:
- Stay Indoors When Possible when it is Bitter Cold – Try to limit time outside, especially for children, the elderly, and those with medical conditions.
- Dress in Layers – If you have to be out wear warm, moisture-wicking clothing, and cover exposed skin to prevent frostbite.
- Heat Your Home Safely – Use space heaters with caution and never leave them unattended.
- Prepare Your Vehicle – Keep extra blankets, a flashlight, and emergency supplies in your car.
- Check on Others – Reach out to elderly neighbors and those in need.
Stay warm and stay safe!
