𝗔 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗶𝗱 𝗵𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆!
The very first “hearing aid,” known as the Ear Trumpet, was created around 1634. The first electronic version didn’t arrive until 1898—and let’s just say it wasn’t exactly subtle.

Thankfully, technology has come a long way since then.
Today’s hearing aids are sleek, smart, and designed for comfort and clarity—helping you hear your best without missing a beat.

A couple of days ago, I went to Lifetime Hearing Clinic for the first time. I was examined and tested by Gracyn Holt, Resident Audiologist. Meeting Gracyn was a delightful experience! She was personable, well-spoken, patient, kind, extremely intelligent and thorough. It is my pleasure to recommend this practice, and especially, Gracyn Holt to anyone needing the services of an Audiologist.

This office is so sweet! I was just going to go back home and search more, when the owner found out I had lost a hearing aid. She was insisting that I get a loaner H.A. from them. I was very upset at my situation, which was not their fault and she actually sat down with me in the lobby another 15-20 minutes to ask me some things that did not pertain to me loosing that hearing aid. They know that I had misplaced a very expensive and high quality item I had purchased these from them four years ago.I just really appreciated that she made sure I was alright before I left their office. Who knows what could have happened to me after that. This office is not like others. I visited one that actually made me cry trying to deal with them, and didn’t even care that I was facing “LIFETIME” problems. Thanks Ms Heather. I’m so glad there are still people in and around our town like you! Carolyn

𝗔: For most people, 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗱𝗮𝘆 is best!

Many believe they only need their hearing aids in noisy places—like restaurants or social events—but that approach can actually make it harder to adjust. When you only wear them occasionally, your brain doesn’t have time to adapt, and background sounds can feel overwhelming.

Wearing your hearing aids all day helps your brain stay acclimated, so you can focus on what really matters—the voices and moments you want to hear most.

𝗗𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝘆𝗽𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗼𝘀𝘀?
The most common type we see is called Sensorineural Hearing Loss, which makes up about 90% of all hearing loss cases.

While often referred to as “nerve deafness,” that’s not entirely accurate—it’s usually caused by damage to the delicate hair cells in the cochlea.

Common causes include aging, long-term noise exposure, certain medications, illness, or injury.

The good news? Most modern hearing aids are designed with this type of loss in mind—making treatment highly effective and personalized for your needs.
