Allworth Veterans’ Home is already changing the perception of Veterans' Homes across the nation. Organized around the idea of an intentional community or neighborhood, this new veterans' home will offer residents a way to maximize normal living environments and routines, provides autonomy, a sense of community, and quality of life. The communities consist of three houses per neighborhood and each house will accommodate up to 14 residents. The houses are accessible and adaptive, designed for ease of movement and features open kitchens, dining areas where family style meals are served, a living room with a fire place, private bedrooms and baths. The Campus will provide space for 154 individuals who require long-term skilled nursing care as well as rehabilitation services in a true home-like setting with routine activities and social interaction that decreases social isolation. The Home sits on 12 acres adjacent to the Samaritan Health Sciences Campus in Lebanon.

Friendly Reminder: Thank you to those who requested a name from our Giving Tree. Please remember, we need gifts dropped off by tomorrow. My office is one of the storage spots for the presents we’ve received. I Love it!

The New Year is approaching, so it's almost time to file your 2025 taxes. Looking to give back? The Oregon Charitable Checkoff program is a fantastic opportunity for anyone filing taxes in our state to direct their Oregon tax refund dollars toward supporting veteran programs and initiatives.

By donating through the Charitable Checkoff program, you're directly contributing to vital programs and initiatives that care for the most vulnerable veterans across the state – our aging veterans and those who are struggling with behavioral health and suicidal ideation.

Thank You to all Veterans for your service and sacrifice! We had a bus of our Veterans in the Albany Veterans Day Parade while others watched on tv from OVHL. Many of our Vets put together care packages for Lebanon Soup Kitchen this morning. After lunch we had a Wii tournament. Late afternoon, we had Patriotic Painting, Pizza, and Wine. Thanks to everyone in the community for supporting us in serving our honored residents!

The last week of October involved a lot of fun activities for our Residents and Staff. This included a Harvest Party, ‘Merica Monday, Twinning Tuesday, Western Wednesday, Throwback Thursday, and of course – Halloween. Unfortunately, I can’t post a lot of the pics of our Vets due to not having photo consents of the school kids in the pics with them except for one. Thanks for your Costume Parade, Pioneer Elementary! We hope you enjoyed Trick or Treating as much as our residents enjoyed your visit.
