One AChord Choir, a musical outreach of the Harmonia Music Association PA, provides free performances for senior living communities, community events, and local churches throughout Lebanon County.

Juniper Associate Becky Duke and Juniper Resident Katherine Hoopes created this talented ensemble, which features many Juniper Residents and Juniper Village at Lebanon Associates!

This year, the One AChord Choir has been requested for two special performances in addition to their monthly schedule: Union Canal Days on May 16, the 33rd annual celebration at the Union Canal Tunnel Park in Lebanon, and the 250th Celebration of America at the Lebanon Expo Center on July 4. Each April, we celebrate a dual milestone: our Juniper anniversary and the birthday of the woman who inspired it all!

April 6 marked the birthday of Lynne Katzmann’s grandmother, Oma. A true original, Oma survived two world wars, ran her own business in the 1920s and rode her motorcycle well into her 70s. Lynne chose April 6 to launch a bold new vision of what it means to grow older.

Nearly 40 years later, our veteran leadership team carries Oma’s spirit into everything we do. But what truly sets us apart is the depth of experience we have gained over these 38 years, having navigated an evolving industry and the journey of getting older together.

Our strength lies in our shared history, providing the deep roots for a strong culture and a pioneering spirit to keep pushing boundaries and exploring new possibilities.

We recently celebrated the founding of Juniper Communities-a day made even more special as it falls in the birthday of our founder's beloved grandmother, affectionately known as Oma. In her honor, we host an annual tea party.

This year's celebration was full of creativity and charm! Donning our fanciest hats, we learned the art of crafting charcuterie displays in teacups. Residents had a wonderful time shaping roses from meats and cheeses and assembling colorful skewers with olives, tomatoes, mozzarella balls, pickles, raspberries, blueberries and grapes.

Even Miles the stuffed giraffe joined in the fun, sporting a fancy hat of his own.

A beautiful day filled with tradition, laughter, and a touch of elegance-just the way Oma would have loved it.

We were thrilled to welcome a great crowd to the Open House for the Juniper Thyme Eatery!

Guests enjoyed sampling a variety of items off the menu including delicious sandwiches. They also had the opportunity to purchase signature beverages individually crafted by Fire Drop Coffee. The feedback was incredible-everyone loved the beautifully renovated space and warm, inviting atmosphere.

Juniper Thyme Eatery is now open to the public 7 days a week from 11am to 6pm.

Fire Drop Coffee Co. will also be serving coffee, signature beverages, and breakfast items for the Eatery on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 6:30am-1:30pm.

We love when residents share their talents and traditions!

Ursula recently led a wonderful hands-on program, teaching fellow residents how to create traditional German Blown Eggs for Easter. Everyone had the chance to try their hand at carefully blowing the egg white and yolks out of the shells before decorating their beautiful creations. It was a fun, creative, meaningful experience for all who attended.
