Dr. Jay Wise and Dr. Casey Jones

A continuous student, he has been privileged to study with some of the great mentors in dentistry, Dr. L.D. Pankey, Dr. Henry Tanner, Dr. Fred Cory, Dr. John Kois, to name a few. The practice represents an evolving blend of influences from these great masters of dentistry. Born and raised in Indiana, he went to Xavier University for undergraduate and graduated in 1975. He went on to graduate from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1980 and completed his general practice residency program at the Veteran’s Hospital in Indianapolis in 1981. Dr. Wise is an active member of the Berkshire District Dental Society, the Massachusetts Dental Society, and the American Dental Association. He serves on the continuing education committee for the Berkshire District Dental Society. He is a participant in the Tanner-Mahan Study Group. He is on staff at the Volunteers in Medicine Clinic in Great Barrington. Other volunteer dentistry includes pro bono dentistry for Western Massachusetts Labor Action as well as volunteer trips to LaVictoria, Dominican Republic
Jay is married to Terry, who is an artist and designer. They have three children: Peter, who is a percussionist in New York City and cofounder/co-director of the Berkshire Fringe Festival (www.berkshirefringe.org), Betsy, who is a fashion designer in Brooklyn (www.bwisedesigns.com) and Margot, who is finishing her bachelor’s degree in sustainable agriculture at the University of Massachusetts. Jay sings with the men’s a ca****la quintet Quintessential (www.quintsingers.com) and also enjoys singing with the Berkshire Bach Singers on occasion. He enjoys cross country skiing in winter and biking in summer, in between various and sundry home improvement projects, good books, movies, and a struggling yoga practice. DR. CASEY JONES, DMD was delighted to join Dr. Jay Wise and his wonderful staff in their efforts to deliver high-quality, compassionate care in March 2014. With a passion for educating patients on oral health as part of their overall health, it is not surprising that she attended the only dental school with oral health in it's name, The Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health. She brings with her a strong background in Public Health, most recently practicing at CHP Dental Center in Great Barrington. One of her most rewarding volunteer efforts included outreach work that took her north of the Arctic Circle to provide dental care to residents of remote Alaskan villages. Dr. Jones is currently a member of the Berkshire District Dental Society, the Massachusetts Dental Society, the American Dental Society and Omicron Kappa Upsilon national dental honor society. She is always looking to further her skills through ongoing continuing education opportunities, including training at The Dawson Academy. Prior to becoming a dentist, Dr. Jones toured the nation and the world as a professional dancer in productions such as "My Fair Lady" and "West Side Story". She is enjoying living in the Berkshires, which is quite a change from her home state of Arizona. Most of her spare time these days is spent helping to raise her two rambunctious toddlers.
