I've had similar conversations with clients over the years. Subtle shifts within how the body holds and/or moves can compound to greater problems over time.
If the issue is due to tightened soft tissue, usually through compensation from past injuries (including repetitive use strains/sprains), massage can be beneficial.
This is the purpose of my restorative massage.
And, if once the soft tissue has loosened but a remnant of the problem remains than I refer out for chiropractic care and/or physical therapy.
Anyhow - the body is AMAZING!...always adjusting to keep you going. Why not treat it with a little TLC for all it does for you everyday!
According to a 2009 study done by the American Podiatric Medical Association, the average person walks 8,000 to 10,000 steps in one day.
Proper weight-bearing surfaces not only give your body optimal postural alignment, but they also prevent you from wasting energy standing upright.
When you move with a misaligned body, your neurons are constantly primed and working overtime.
After 365 days, this irregular muscle tension becomes fixated, and your brain can no longer reverse the process.
Your feet become โstuckโ in that faulty foot posture and your body starts to break down.

This leads to mechnical imbalances that affect everything above your ankle joint.
So how can you fix this?
Improving foot proprioception is the first step to addressing a foot imbalance. Since the motor cortex is what ultimately controls your muscles, working with a product that feeds it 24/7 results in FAST and permanent changes in poor foot and body posture. Thatโs why I created Therapeutic Insoles to help you improving posture and rebuild stability from the ground up. - Take the Posture Pattern Assessment (60 seconds) ๐ Link in bio
