Ever wonder what Modern Cupping Therapy (MCT) is and how it is used in physical therapy to help reach your goals?

✅Focuses on improving local tissue glide, blood flow, and ROM (and often reduced pain)
✅If used correctly, can improve both passive extensibility and/or motor control depending on application
✅Can be great for post op recovery or longer standing mobility deficits
❌Does not break up scar/adhesions but can have a positive effect on nervous system adaptation

🔹Pressure matters, we know which pressures to reach the target tissue
🔹Will always be coupled WITH movement and used as a pathway to tissue loading
🔹Effects will be MEASURED, no assumptions on effectiveness here

Make sure you can complete our checklist to minimize your risk of falls.

✅ Safe environment with minimal hazards such as rugs, spills and cords
✅ Proper fitting clothes and shoe wear
✅ Balance & exercise training program 🕺🏽🤸🏼‍♀️
✅ Open communication with your medical provider regarding medication, vision & hearing
✅ Confidence in ability to ask for help
