We're proud to recognize Meredith Burns, M.S., CCC-SLP, for her dedication to clinical excellence in speech-language pathology. After earning her graduate degree, certification and licensure, Meredith has built strong experience as a long term care therapist, providing compassionate evidence-based care to medically complex patients. She is now further advancing her expertise through specialized training in dysphasia management and Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES)- strengthening patient safety and swallowing outcomes. Congratulations Meredith, and Thank You for the skill, heart and professionalism you bring to our patients and team everyday!

🎉 Milestone Moment for Lee's Summit Place! 🎉

We are proud to share an important achievement for Lee's Summit Place. Just two and a half years into our organization’s journey, this facility has completed a rigorous 10-week process focused on developing, outlining, and showcasing the quality initiatives and outcomes that define their care.

This work was submitted for review by the American Health Care Association as part of the Bronze Quality Award program, the first step in a three-level pathway toward excellence in care and operations.

This accomplishment reflects months of preparation, dedication beyond regular hours, honest self-reflection, and a commitment to transparency and growth. It speaks to a team willing to challenge themselves, strengthen their systems, and continuously improve for the residents and families they serve.

We applaud the Administrators and their teams for committing to this journey, holding themselves to a higher standard, and successfully completing their application and submission this week.
Most importantly, this is just the beginning. As Lee's Summit Place moves forward, the focus now turns to continued progress and the journey toward Silver and Gold, with quality and compassion guiding the way. 💙
