Post-surgical hands + splints can trap sweat and drainage, which can lead to skin maceration around healing incisions. A simple trick we use at Prestige Hand & Physical Therapy is placing small pieces of a makeup sponge between the fingers to create space, improve airflow, and keep the skin drier during healing.

Sometimes the simplest solutions make the biggest difference in recovery.
