Sciatica isn’t just “back pain.” It can feel like sharp, shooting pain down your leg, numbness, or even weakness that makes everyday things frustrating.

Most people try to stretch it out, rest, or push through it—but if the pressure on the nerve isn’t relieved, it keeps coming back.

That’s where decompression therapy comes in.

Decompression gently creates space in the spine, reducing pressure on the irritated nerve and allowing the area to heal. No cracking, no surgery—just targeted relief where it actually matters.

If you’ve been dealing with nagging sciatic pain, it might be time to address the root cause instead of just managing symptoms.

Call 816-761-3944 to see if decompression is right for you.

Most people think of posture as something you fix by sitting up straighter or pulling your shoulders back. But there’s a factor that shapes how you hold yourself all day long, and it’s one you’re repeating about 20,000 times a day without a second thought. It’s your breathing pattern.

Many couples come to therapy believing their problem is communication, s*x, or emotional distance. More often, the real issue is avoidance of conflict, vulnerability, rejection, or uncomfortable emotions. Over time, avoidance creates emotional and physical distance, even in relationships where love....

If you have regular headaches and migraines you know the struggle of the weather changing. 🌧️

Changes in barometric pressure (the pressure in the air around us) can affect the body in several ways. When the pressure drops before storms or major weather shifts, it can create subtle pressure changes in the sinuses, joints, and surrounding tissues, which may trigger headaches or migraines for some people.

Many people who experience this describe:
• Headaches when storms are coming
• Increased neck tension with weather changes
• Migraines during rapid temperature or pressure shifts
• Tightness at the base of the skull or shoulders

What many don’t realize is that neck tension and joint restriction can make these headaches worse.

When the joints of the neck aren’t moving well, it can increase irritation of nearby nerves and muscles that contribute to tension headaches and migraines.

Chiropractic care at Rejuvenate focuses on:
✔ Improving motion in the neck and upper spine
✔ Reducing muscle tension and joint irritation
✔ Supporting better nervous system function

For many people, this means fewer headaches, less intensity, and better resilience during weather changes.

If you notice your headaches seem to follow the weather forecast, your body may be telling you something.

Chiropractic care may help address the underlying tension contributing to the problem.

Your body shouldn’t have to predict the weather before your local meteorologist. 🌦️

Many people have heard of PTSD, but fewer understand Complex PTSD (C-PTSD).

C-PTSD often develops from ongoing or repeated stressful or traumatic experiences, especially situations where someone felt trapped, powerless, or unsupported for a long period of time. This can include things like long-term relationship conflict, childhood emotional neglect, repeated criticism, or living in a chronically stressful environment.

Unlike a single traumatic event, C-PTSD tends to affect how someone sees themselves, others, and the world and most commonly affects how you operate your relationships.

Common experiences can include:
• Feeling constantly on edge or easily overwhelmed
• Difficulty trusting people or feeling safe in relationships
• Harsh self-criticism or persistent shame
• Emotional ups and downs that feel hard to control
• Feeling “stuck” in patterns that no longer serve you

For many people, these reactions made sense at one point—they were ways the mind learned to cope and survive.

The encouraging news is that healing is possible. With the right support, people can learn to understand their patterns, regulate emotions more effectively, and build healthier relationships with themselves and others.

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, stuck in old patterns, or unsure why certain situations trigger strong reactions, talking with a therapist at Rejuvenate can help bring clarity and relief.

You don’t have to figure it out alone.

We have immediate openings with therapists who can help. We're located on the West side of - take most insurances, and have immediate openings. Call or text today: 816-761-3944
