What is Giving Tuesday?

The Tuesday after Thanksgiving is designated as a "global generosity movement." The day is meant to bring attention to nonprofit organizations locally, regionally or in any community giving help and assistance to any number of causes.

Meet GLSHF Board Member Anna Sahli - Chief Operating Officer at Saint Luke's East Hospital.

Anna has nearly a decade of leadership experience within the health system. Throughout her tenure, she has held multiple operational and strategic leadership roles, contributing to system growth, performance improvement and service excellence.

With a strong background in healthcare operations, project management, and master facility planning, Anna has played a key role in advancing organizational priorities and leading complex initiatives, including major construction and capital projects. Prior to joining the health system, she spent several years in healthcare information technology.

Beyond her professional role, Anna is actively engaged in the community and serves on several boards, including the Lee's Summit Chamber of Commerce, the REACH Healthcare Foundation, and SafeHome.

Anna earned her Master’s degree in Healthcare Services Administration from the The University of Kansas Medical School. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons, traveling and reading.

Dr. Lisa Morris is a 2011 Lee's Summit High School graduate who’s back in the area working at KU Medical Center! She’s also a 4-year recipient of our GLSHF scholarships! Lee's Summit R-7 School District University of Kansas Medical Center

Meet Lisa Morris - 2011 Lee’s Summit High graduate and 4-year GLSHF scholarship recipient!

Lisa is a product of Highland Park Elementary, Pleasant Lea Middle and Tiger High. She even heard from her HPE kindergarten teacher when she finished med school (shoutout to Mrs. Greathouse!)

After her Lee's Summit R-7 School District education, she attended Washington University & Mizzou. She’s back in Lee’s Summit now and working at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Learn more about her journey this week in her own words - and help us celebrate Dr. Morris and the hundreds of LSR7 students who have benefited from these vital scholarships during their studies!
