🎅🚁 Santa Claus "sleighed" into Inova Loudoun Hospital this week... by helicopter! His first stop was the pediatric unit, where he handed out presents and brought joy to kids spending the holidays in care. He also visited the emergency department, spreading cheer to Loudoun residents.

Flu cases are rising in our area. As families and friends gather for holiday celebrations, Inova’s emergency medicine physician, Dr. Homeyer, shares tips to help protect yourself and your loved ones:

💪 Get your flu shot: It’s not too late! Vaccination is the best defense against severe illness and hospitalization.
🤒 Stay home if you’re sick: Even mild symptoms can spread the flu.
🧼 Practice good hygiene: Wash your hands often, cover coughs and sneezes, and avoid touching your face.
😷 Mask up in crowds: Especially around older adults, young children, or anyone at higher risk.

🎁 🏍️ It's become a joyful tradition! Thanks to the amazing teams at Fairfax County Police Department (including their Motor Squad and Auxiliary Police Unit), Fairfax County Sheriff, Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department and Loudoun County Sheriff's Office teams for collecting toys and escorting Santa 🎅 on his special route to visit kids at Inova L.J. Murphy Children's Hospital and Inova Loudoun Hospital!

✨ And a huge thank you to everyone who donated toys. Your generosity is the true magic of the season.
