Case of the week:22 month old went to ED for scrotal swelling , US no torsion . My exam nl Cremasteric reflex , able to reduce content.
Patient past 18 month and appears to have hidden hernia was given instructions for worsening and referred to Urologist for likely surgical correction.🤓

Just a reminder that among the many services we provide efficiently and painless it’s :
Ear lavage or irrigation to remove cerumen impaction . We had performed 100 ‘s of them ; nowadays with children and teenagers using headphones frequently we see more and more cases; and here is the catch , why to keep the ear canal free of cerumen impaction:

• Speech delay
• Poor school performance
• Behavioral issues
Cerumen impaction may cause:
• Otalgia
• Sensation of ear fullness
• Irritability in young children
✅ AAP/AAO-HNS guidance:
Cerumen should be removed when it causes symptoms or prevents necessary assessment of the ear canal or tympanic membrane.
